Our story
Precision Welds, Personal Service
Southern Cali Custom Metal Fabrication is a San Diego welding and fabrication shop run by Franco, Neil, and a small team of skilled fabricators. We take on projects other shops turn away, from custom stair balusters that need to meet code to vehicle fabrication work that has to fit exactly right.
Every job gets the same attention to detail: clean, precise welds and a finished product that looks as good as it functions. When a client's original design does not quite work, we help redesign it and explain how to approach it better next time.
Customers come back to us project after project, and most of our new work comes from referrals. We take on jobs of any size, from a quick repair to a full custom build.
- Clean, precision welds on every job
- Code-compliant custom fabrication

What customers say
“Southern Cali Custom Metal Fabrication did an outstanding job on my project. Their craftsmanship is top-tier: clean welds, precise fabrication, and a level of detail that really shows they take pride in their work. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and high-quality metal fabrication in San Diego.”
“We had an amazing experience with Southern Cali Custom Metal Fabrication. Neil came through and worked closely with us to design two custom balusters that not only match the renovations in our home perfectly but are also up to code and 100% toddler-proof. The quality is outstanding, the welds are flawless, and the final product looks incredible.”
“Franco, Neil, and their team are wizards with metal fabrication. They were able to save and fix our poor design choices for our small aluminum light boxes and help educate us on how we could better approach a similar project in the future. The laser tight welds they managed to pull off are among the best I've ever seen. We're lifetime repeat customers now.”
